5_Star_Rating_System_5_starsLoved this story. The Double R follows the story of Clay Ross who is devastated by the sudden loss of his wife. Set in two time periods, we travel back and forth between his current struggle with grief and when he first laid eyes on the love of his life. I fell in love with Clay almost instantly, in both time periods. The author creates characters who are entirely relatable and loveable. Not being an avid romance reader, I am surprised each time she draws me in so completely to her love stories. Set in the beautiful Alberta Foothills, The Double R gave me a real down-home feeling. I found myself wanting the story to carry on, reluctant to turn the last pages and look forward to the next book in this series.”

5_Star_Rating_System_5_starsLife, Loss, and Love. A sweet and sad story of a man who has just lost the love of his life and wife of forty years. As Clay struggled with his grief, I could feel his pain, and his frustration with his two unsympathetic sons. I loved the unique setting of the foothills of Alberta, Canada, and the optimism his granddaughter brought out in him. I’ll be looking out for the next book in the series!”

Love the fabulous true love story. Made me cry with joy. Sharing the love of horses and the ranch with his granddaughter was very special. I love their love of the horses, especially the newly born. A special relationship for sure.
